主持国家和省部级科研项目10余项，在Adv Opt Mater、Chem Eng J、J Adv Ceram、J Mater Chem C等国际学术期刊发表SCI收录论文80余篇，授权国家发明专利12件，曾获云南省自然科学三等奖（排名第1），ACS Appl Mater Interfaces、Inorg Chem、Adv Opt Mater、Ceram Int等10余种材料、化学及物理类国际学术期刊审稿人。培养硕博研究生30余名，指导硕士生曾获云南省优秀硕士论文和云南省研究生优秀科技创新成果奖。

讲授本科生课程材料科学基础、晶体结构学、表面工程技术等7门，研究生课程现代材料制备技术。主持教学改革研究项目5项，发表教学改革研究论文10余篇，指导国家级和省级大学生科研创新训练项目10余项，指导本科生获大学生“挑战杯”比赛省赛一等奖和国赛三等奖，“互联网+”竞赛省赛银奖和省赛金奖、大学生金相技能大赛国赛二等奖和三等奖、中国大学生机械工程创新创意大赛—材料热处理创新创业赛国赛二等奖和三等奖等奖项。

主要从事无机功能硫属晶态材料的创制、结构及二阶非线性光学性能的研究。独立工作后以第一/通讯作者已在J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.等期刊上发表论文120余篇。先后主持3项国家自然科学基金项目，并入选江苏省“青蓝工程”中青年学术带头人、“六大人才高峰”高层次人才等。获得2020年卢嘉锡优秀导师奖。

Based on the rich biological resources in Yunnan, the research and industrialization promotion and application of "Bio-templated photocatalytic water treatment technology and complete sets of equipment" have been carried out earlier at home and abroad, and more than 100 SCI papers have been published as the first author (corresponding author) (including one paper with ESI <1%, six papers have been cited 100 times). What’s more, I wrote English monographs with one chapter each in Elsevier and Springer Publishing House; won the first prize of Yunnan Natural Science Award once and obtained nineteen invention patents (three US patents) as the first inventor. Realize the industrialization of in-depth phosphorus removal of a sewage treatment plant (10,000 tons/day), and the renovation of a reclaimed water treatment plant (800 tons/day) in an industrial park; build a large-scale emergency, rapid and efficient phosphorus removal project for the Chai River water body of 1,200 cubic meters/day; Realize the industrialized production and sales of algal residue dehydrating agent (7,000 tons/day), a by-product of the air flotation process.

Catalysis (photocatalysis), fine chemical synthesis, nanomaterials, water treatment chemistry. Main interests are biological template preparation catalysts and new materials for sewage treatment such as defluorination and phosphorus removal, organo-metallic framework mimic enzymes, coking wastewater, plant extraction, paint, pharmaceutical and other wastewater treatment, cyanobacteria and sludge dewatering, drugs and precursors Research on green destruction of chemicals. He has long been engaged in the research of solar bionic photocatalysis, phosphorus removal, heavy metal removal and other sewage treatment, rural drinking water treatment and bionic materials.

1. Solar silicon base materials and devices for photovoltaic industry

Nano-metal assisted etching is used to carry out research on new silicon-based solar cell materials and devices. Silicon wafers with different structures are prepared by effective regulation to achieve efficient reflection reduction effect on the surface of solar silicon wafers and improve the luminescence efficiency: This part of the related research work has been supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, major Science and Technology Special Projects of Yunnan Province and key projects of Yunnan Science and Technology Department. The research group has published many SCI and EI papers in Power Technology, Fuel Cell, Materials Guide and other journals, and has trained 8 master graduates. Graduate students in state-owned and private enterprises as technical director and technical backbone;

2. Preparation of nanoporous silicon and its application in heavy metal environmental remediation

Study on the adsorption of heavy metal ions in industrial wastewater by using nanoporous silicon materials; The related research work in this part was supported by two National Natural Science Foundation of China and one Open Fund of State Key Laboratory of Clean Utilization of Complex Non-ferrous Metal Resources jointly built by Province and Ministry. 3. Silicon based wiring and interconnect film materials for ULSI in information industry

The interconnecting materials and devices of semiconductor very large scale integrated circuits were studied by PVD, CVD, SPuttering and other film fabrication techniques. This part of the research has been supported by the Fund for Returned Scholars of The Ministry of Education, the Natural Science Foundation of Yunnan Science and Technology Department, and the Double First-class major projects of Yunnan University. The research group has published a number of SCI and EI papers in ACS, ASS, SPT, JMST and other journals, and has trained 8 graduate students, who serve as technical backbone and research and development force in the field of semiconductor information materials.

In the recent few years, I have hosted and completed six projects including Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the key projects of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Education, and the Application Basic Research Fund of Yunnan Province. I have studied in the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo for one year as a visiting scholar, in the Composite Materials Research Laboratory of professor Deborah Chung.

In the recent five years, more than 20 academic papers have been published in the journals as Journal of Materials Chemistry A, Electrochimica Acta, Carbon, Applied Surface Science, Composites Part A and Composites Part B. I have coauthored three academic books in the direction of “Electromagnetic Shielding and Absorbing Materials”.
